Smile of love!

On a morning walk,
I look around,
The poinsettia,
So brightly attired,
Seems to beckon,
Drawing near,
My eyes rivet,
The blooms at the center,
Silently, they say,
Love and kisses,
Passerby dear,
Love smiles,
through countless lips,
Why be grim,
When you can smile,
Brighten up some lives,
Just free your smile!

Mulberry!

Christmas time is also the season of ripening mulberry - as they turn purple, they lose their tangyness, becoming sugary sweet. Childhood memories awaken, of climbing an old mulberry tree - the delight in plucking, enjoying, even the raw fruit. Now, we enjoy the birds flying in, voraciously gobbling down the ripe fruit, but always leaving some for us to pick!

A green, living cave!
